I love Easter. I love it for many reasons — most importantly, what it signifies for my faith and for us. It is a time of resurrection, joy and renewal. And for me, this year’s Easter is especially poignant.
As the ubiquitous beginning of A Tale of Two Cities quotes: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…
And since that life-changing day almost 6 months ago, I’ve experienced both ends of the spectrum.
But now, it is the best of times. Now, it is the renewal.
And that is the beauty of what Easter means: suffering has purpose. Darkness leads to light.
And sometimes, we grow in ways we didn’t even know we needed to so that we could be made into who we were meant to be.
And today — I am loving this life. I am loving this light. I am renewed.
Happy Easter to you and yours.
