My mother-in-law calls lipstick, “lippy.”

–
I like that about her.

When I got home from work today, I found the package that I ordered from Clinique on my front porch. (yay, presents! … that I bought for myself.)
–
–
My powder and bronzer had arrived. And even better, so did my “free gift” with purchase.
–
–
It contained lip gloss, mascara, cream blush, make up remover, eye cream — and a delectable exfoliating scrub that made my face feel smooth and fresh.
–
–
I turned on my new Adele CD and played with all my new make up while the toddler ate crackers and dropped crumbs in my sheets.
–
–
Life is good.

It’s the little things. Isn’t it, girls?

Dear Lauren, my daughter (now 22) and I always get excited when Clinique does its “gift with purchase”. Of course I purchase one article for her and one for myself, therefore we each get a “GIFT”. It is indeed the “little things in life”.
