I first discovered Lisa Leonard the month after Kate was born when I stumbled upon her Word of the Year necklace. (My word was grace.) Since then, I’ve been a huge fan of her jewelry — original, inspiring, handmade pieces that always have people asking “Where did you get that?”
My favorite necklace of hers — the jar of hearts:
Today, Lisa was kind enough to take a few minutes to be part of my Three Questions series.
Me: What is something that makes you giddy like a kid?
LL: I love seeing the something I’ve created go from an idea to a final product. That definitely makes me giddy. Also, sleeping in, cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and a day at the beach.
Me: What is something that makes you passionate like a grown-up?
LL: Hmm, date night with my husband. I love getting dressed up and going out. I also love snuggling my boys {ages 8 and 9} and making a delicious, healthy dinner for my family.
Me: What were you looking forward to most when you woke up this morning?
LL: The first thing I look forward to in the morning is a cup of french pressed coffee with cream. That’s what gets me out of bed. Also, today my aunt and cousin are coming for a visit and we’ll go downtown for the Farmer’s market—which should be tons of fun!

Looking for a truly unique, inspiring piece of jewelry? Check out Lisa Leonard Designs where she also blogs about her work, her life and her beautiful family.
“I love my little family. It isn’t perfect and sometimes it isn’t pretty, but it’s mine–and I’m thankful for that. I know looking at a few pictures on a blog can make someone’s life seem like a fairytale–and that isn’t true here. Actually I don’t think it’s true for anyone! I’m flawed and so imperfect. But there is beauty to be found. Today is a brand new day and I am so grateful.” – Lisa Leonard
